Hunger Relief in the Winchester District

As the newly appointed Hunger Relief Advocate for the WDUMMen, I have a request. If your church has a food pantry or provides any services to the hungry in our community, please share your Food Pantry (church) name, days that you provide services to the community and any other relevant information for me to get a handle on what we are doing within our churches to help those less fortunate – Steve Cunningham

Great idea, Steve … My church, Reliance, doesn’t have a Food Pantry, but we support the Stephens City Pantry; C-Cap in Winchester and Front Royal, with food baskets and monetary donations received from the congregation throughout the month.

PURPOSE: The primary purpose of United Methodist Men is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. Accordingly, Winchester District United Methodist Men work with the local church men’s groups, and other district organizations, in developing programs to meet the needs and interests of men of all ages.

This is an awesome opportunity to work together to discern the way ahead; build up and lift up men throughout the District, while developing a pathway to spiritual maturity for all UMMen.
